The uniqueness of Sheregesh lies in the almost zero avalanche risk. This is facilitated by Mount Zelenaya resembling an ant's house, which has sloping slopes and long roll-outs. The slopes in the lower part are densely covered with thickets of fluffy fir trees, the snow from which can only slightly shower a freerider who has rushed past.

Similar slopes of Elbrus or Krasnaya Polyana do not guarantee safety from avalanches. Resorts near Moscow can boast of zero avalanche risk. But it makes no sense to talk about riding in the Moscow region, which will bring satisfaction to riders, because of its low height.

But lovers of mountain descent, skiing in Sheregesh in different seasons, are well aware that there are places near the slopes where an avalanche can become dangerous for a person.

The battle of the heroes with the use of whistling arrows and stone blocks continued for a long time, but none of them could win. The exhausted men fell to the ground, becoming two humps of one mountain. The girl covered them with a shroud, rose up in a cloud, shedding streams of tears. To this day, pure streams rush from the mountains, spreading the strength of the heroes in different directions.

The spectacle of the rocky formations of Mount Kurgan, which opens from Mount Karitshal, is impressive. The magma that emerged from the ground, when solidified, took on the form of camel humps. Rock formations are called "Camels".

Road, road, you know so much...

The road by car from Novosibirsk to Sheregesh turned out to be quite pleasant, with a small exception: 30 km in front of Leninsk-Kuznetsk - there the roadway leaves much to be desired. We left at night and arrived in the morning - a total of about 6-7 hours drive, including a short stop at a cafe in Zhuravly.

We drove up to the resort, cutting through the white veil of fog. A very beautiful sight! Mountains immersed in coniferous greenery and occasionally peeping golden birch trees. Sheregesh in such a dress is no less beautiful than snowy.

Settlement

We lived in the Alpen Club hotel complex, right on the mountain. The territory is well-groomed, the rooms are comfortable and the location is only 150 meters from the ski lifts.

The first thing that caught my eye was a large cage with squirrels and small squirrels near the administration building. Emotion knew no bounds!

Also on the territory there is a large tennis court with a special shock-absorbing rubber coating, with rackets and balls for rent, which can also serve as a football field, for this the net is removed and the football goals are exposed.

After examining the area, I saw a climbing wall of impressive size, where you can hire an instructor and climb with insurance (and the child, by the way, too). Plus an outdoor heated pool with sun loungers around the perimeter. And, of course, the barbecue area. What's a vacation without a grill? This is what you can do on the street.

As for staying warm, there is a karaoke bar in a separate building on the territory where you can order a hookah and relax in the lounge area.

Relax area

Having rested from the road, it was decided to explore the territory of the already familiar resort, but in a guise unknown to me before. After all, despite the preparation for the winter season, many hotels continue their work in the summer / autumn.

I will say that it is unusual to see the buildings of hotels and hotels without snow. And this adds interest in the study of the autumn Sheregesh. All the time I involuntarily compared the two seasons and could not decide under what weather conditions Sheregesh was more interesting.

Leisure

We took a ride on the lift (yes, some of them work in summer) to the top of the mountain, from where an incredible view opened up - the whole resort is in full view! Walking along the steep asphalt roads, we went down to the Olga Hotel, where there were also entertainment for the warm season: buggies, ATVs, bicycles. Then we got into the car and decided to drive around the resort. So we ended up near the Medvezhonok hotel, where a banner “Horseback Riding” hung. Here, again, in the "off season", in addition to hiking in breathtaking places, you can ride these graceful animals.

We went for a walk through the forest and at the same time looked at the houses of the Chalet Taiga House, where we wanted to stay when we planned the trip.

The owner came out to us and we, as an excursion, asked to show us the houses. “The place is magical, we will come back here sometime!” We decided unanimously. The houses have a dizzying aroma of cedar, there is solid wood furniture, and the buildings themselves are made of large timber. I was struck by the wooden decorations placed around the houses - definitely handmade.

And in the house there are windows from the floor to the very roof - in front of you is a picturesque landscape of a marvelous forest. The house has a cast-iron wood-burning stove. In general, romance, and nothing more ... On the territory there are tables all made of the same solid wood, a brazier and a very beautiful statue of a wolf, carved from a single piece of wood. Of course, there is also a bath.

We had a chance to visit a wonderful place, while not spending much, because in the warm season both entertainment and accommodation are cheaper than in the winter season, and unity with nature will be a bonus to this.
